The End of the Road for Predatory Carnivores Part 1: Mountain Lions in the Rearview Mirror
With humanity in the driver’s seat, once enthroned predators are hitching a ride in poacher’s king-size truck beds, with more than a few headed down a dead-end road to extinction.
This is the predators’ story and ours, a tale that warns us to beware the big cats’ and canines’ teeth when we get on their tails.
Know this: no species rides alone…

Subduing the Future: The Story of Mankind’s Long Falling Out with Eden (Told Through a Native American Apocalypse)
No matter how hard we put our God-given brains to use, quite contrary to the apparent wishes of the Lord as well as the advice of most secular scientists, the current environmental situation is quite outside of man’s control. The decedents of Adam have outright fallen on the job, losing our ability to lovingly subdue a system that (if you believe the Bible) we were entrusted to steward.

The End of the Road for Predatory Carnivores Part 3: A Parking Space for Lions
The aspect of the conservation situation with African lions that is particularly worrisome is that much of the remaining habitat for the animals is quite suitable for agriculture and pastoralism (this is in contrast to the situation with mountain lions and wolves in North America, who occupy valued boreal sanctuaries). It is generally understood by biologists that agriculturalism, pastoralism, and retaliation for depredation pushed lions out of a habitat that once encompassed much of the surface of the Earth. What’s to stop the measly portion of his former glory the lion still enjoys from being taken from him as well?

The End of the Road for Predatory Carnivores Part 2: Grey Wolves Running Alongside Us
In areas of roadway development, the conservation situation with grey wolves is quite different from that which we saw last post with mountain lions. Mankind has opened a regular buffet restaurant for them, but if they get much out of line, it’s rather barbaric, but man seems quite intent on killing his own customers.
